MCC Library's Archives

The MCC Library's Archives contains a collection of barn photos and farm survey documents for each township in Montcalm County.  This collection was recorded in 2001-2004 as part of the Barn Again program, part of a traveling Smithsonian Institute initiative. This reference material is in-library use only and includes such information as photographs of barns, farms, and farm owners, origin of farms, physical description of farm property, ownership, written and oral histories of farms and farm families, and other miscellaneous details of those farms surveyed.
